Our Prep R Highlights!

The Prep’s believe to start each day with a grateful heart, after prayer we nominate things to say thank you to God for and they are shared on leaves to be added to our Gratitude tree.   This helps us understand that when we talk to God through prayer it is not always about asking for things but also for saying thank you.

The Prep’s gathered in the Prep area to celebrate a liturgy in remembrance of All Souls and All Saints day.  Our readers lead in prayer and then we say the ‘Our Father’ and we recited our school prayer as a Prep level.  It was a great way to reflect and remember many important people in our lives who have passed. 

In English and Inquiry we have been exploring non fiction texts, learning about animal features and habitats.  As part of our Inquiry work we have written animal reports with facts that we know.  To link in with our Inquiry we have a class pet, his name is Tweeny! Tweeny is a stick insect and he is often the inspiration for writing and inquiry.
