Principal's Message

Specialist Program Extravaganza.....our juniors shining on the stage!

Dear Families,

Monday 20th November - School Closure Day - 2024 Planning

Remembrance Day is a day when we acknowledge those who have died while serving in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Remembrance Day is held on 11th November. This is the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War 1.  In Australia and many other countries a one minute silence is observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month because that is when the Armistice came into effect. It is a time to honour our service personnel who died in service of Australia.

Loving Father,

You always hold and protect us in your love.

Grant eternal rest to those who have died

protecting our nation from the horror of war.

May we who stand shielded by their sacrifice

always remember and thank you for their gift.

May war never again threaten us,

and where war rages in our world,

we pray that your peace will reign.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Classes will gather in prayer on Monday morning to remember all who have been affected by war.

We invite all families to join us for our end of year Family Carols evening on Saturday 9th December.  The night is a time for all Parish/School families to gather together to sing along to your favourite carols and catch up with friends. The school choir will join the Parish choirs to lead us throughout the evening.

We will be encouraging students to dress up in the spirit of Christmas.

Simply come along for a relaxed night to celebrate the years’ end along with a touch of Christmas spirit!

Zooper Dooper Friday’s are back!   50cents

With Term 4 warning up we welcome back our Friday Zooper Dooper sales!

Children are invited to bring 50 cents to school to purchase a Zooper Dooper on a Friday.

We thank our Year 6 children for volunteering their time to support the sales of the Zooper Doopers.   All profits raised from the sales will go to our Kadasig fundraising efforts.

Term 4 Summer Uniform & ‘No Hat - No Play’

All students should now be wearing their summer uniform in Term 4. We also remind parents that Term 4 has a ‘No Hat – No Play’ Sunsmart policy.

Student Departures/Future Numbers

If your child/ren (Prep- Year 5) will not be returning to St Andrew’s in 2024 we ask that you please notify us.

As we plan ahead for 2024 classes, we ask any families who know that they will not be returning to St. Andrew's in 2024 to inform the school as soon as possible by clicking on the button below or emailing principal@saclaytonsth.catholic.edu.au

2024 School Fees and Levies

School Leadership also presented the 2024 Fee and Levy structure to the SAC at last night’s meeting.

Levies for School Camp and Swimming Levies will be dependent on the costs of the buses, swimming pool charges and camp provider charges.  We would hope that there would be minimal increases with these levies.

Please refer to the the attached 2024 Fee and Levy Structure

2023 School Calendar

The 2023 School Calendar is available on the School Website.  It can be found mid-way on the front page under the heading ‘WHAT’S ON’.   We will endeavour, where possible, to remain true to the dates on the 2023 calendar. We would recommend that parents make a regular visit to the school website to see updates on all school events.
