Gifts of Grace

The end of the year is fast approaching, and we are constantly being reminded in the media (and by our Christmas-loving friends and children) that Christmas is not far away.

This is an ideal opportunity to assist those less fortunate in the world by supporting the work of Australian Lutheran World Service through the ‘Gifts of Grace’ program. ‘Gifts of Grace’ supports projects helping some of the world’s poorest families. You can view the catalogue via this link: https://www.alws.org.au/what-you-can-do/gifts-of-grace/ to see how you can contribute to the world in a relevant and meaningful manner. You might decide to purchase a ‘Gift of Grace’ for a family member or a friend or work colleague, or you may like to use this to talk as a family about supporting another family overseas for Christmas.

At Christmas, we are reminded of many things, including how our gifts can serve and allow others to grow. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace” 1 Peter 4:10.

Blessings to you all as we continue to serve one another and the world together.

From 2024, we will have a casual vacancy for a two-year term on the Board. We are specifically interested in nominations from parents of the school with any of the following skills backgrounds: marketing, community engagement, finance, law, governance, or project management. If you are interested, please don’t hesitate to contact me: lmattner@stpaulba.sa.edu.au. Alternatively, you can contact our Board Chair, Merryn Ruwoldt: mruwoldt@stpaulba.sa.edu.au.
