Student News -SLC5 

Every week SLC 5 and the rest of the Secondary Learning center have enjoyed participating in a program called Core Plus. Core plus has enabled everyone to interact and spend time with other students not in their class and work with a variety of different teachers and education support staff. 

This program allows the students to experience different areas of the curriculum. They have explored experiments in science and made predictions.

Students got their creative shoes on during reading and craft sessions where they have investigated Indigenous stories. In Music the students have played instruments and listened to their favourite songs.

Students discussed concepts related to respectful relationships such as; gratitude, personal strengths they have and qualities they admire in friendships and lastly, they investigated ICT using different types of technology from the interactive TV to the iPad and even giving switches a go.
