Year 7 Financial Literacy

Last term, the Year 7 classes were lucky enough to participate in the Financial Literacy Program. It was very engaging; we were actively involved in all the discussions and had the opportunity to share our own ideas. They gave us some tips on better ways to save and spend money.

The guest speakers had many activities to encourage us to interact with the people in the room. For example, they asked us to imagine different scenarios such as 'what items would we bring into a shared house. There were many ideas including a go-kart and go-kart track and a jacuzzi. They then asked us how we would afford them. They also had a few examples of saving and spending and what we would cut out of our expenses if we were in those situations.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and we all enjoyed it.
