Week 4 Term 4

LORD,

We pray for peace in Israel and Gaza –

for an end to hostilities and for peacemakers on both sides.

Let us pray for the many people whose lives have been torn apart by this conflict.

We remember especially those who have died, those who are grieving,

the injured and those now without food, shelter or medical supplies.

We pray for those who have the power to bring peace.

May they be touched by a spirit of compassion and kindness.

AMEN.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Australia will celebrate the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 27 October 2023.  Let’s celebrate Australia’s teachers for their skilled work in educating, inspiring and supporting our students.

Hats off to teachers this World Teachers’ Day!

On Friday 27 October, you can show your appreciation by posting a “hats off” selfie on social media, either on your own or with family or friends. Grab your hat – beret, beanie, bucket, bowler – and remember to tag #WorldTeachersDay @aitsl

Please join us on Friday for a special assembly for our teachers!! Can all children please wear a hat as an expression of thanks to the teachers at St Fidelis? The children can wear any hat they like for the coming Friday!!
