All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

In response to our call to service, our Year 6 Faith and Social Justice Team are running a BACK PACK DRIVE to help support the homeless living in the streets of Melbourne through the organisation -COTS (Christmas on the Streets.)

If any family has a large, good quality backpack that they would be happy to donate, we would be very grateful.

Please leave donated backpacks at the office by Friday 3rd November.

Backpacks are an essential on the streets. Often, many of those living on the streets leave their belongings behind simply because they have no way of carrying them from one location to another. Backpacks help in making sure their items are safer, compact and provide a sense of relief during moments of distress by removing the burden of losing personal belongings or having to leave them behind.

Roseanne Rofaeel, the founder of COTS,  will be visiting our school on Monday 30th October to speak to all our students about her foundation. If anyone would like to listen to her inspiring presentation, you are more than welcome to join us in the hall at 2.30pm.
