Hi all

Wow, what a week for sports fans.  Let's start with Tuesday....

30 of our year 5 and 6 girls travelled to Moorabbin Oval for th Little Saint Cup.  It is event organised to promote girl's footy with a focus on fun, fitness and friends.  We entered two teams and the girls traveled by train to and from the venue.  Our Year 6 girls won all of their games and brought home the Little Saints Cup for the second year running.

Well done to all of the girls and the parents who came down to cheer them on.  I special shout out to to coach Gareth B who had their girls playing at their best.  Nice work team St Louis!

On Wednesday, 4 athletes went to Casey Fields to compete in the South metro regional finals.  Lucy G came 5th in the 10 year old high jump, Teagan S finished 5th in the 12 year old 1500m Jagger D came 4th in the 10 year old shot put  and Thomas J won bronze in the 12 year old shot put.   They all competed in fields of 16 against the best young athletes this side of the city.  Great effort guys and thank you to the families who supported them throughout the pathway.

On Friday, we sent 3 cricket teams to the Kingston Division finals at Roy Dore Reserve.  Our Mixed B were a late inclusion due to a district winning team pulling out at the last minute.  A division final is an event where the top team from 8 districts play off to see who progresses to the  regional finals.  Our "B" team was there to allow the other district winners the opportunity to play.  They were there purely to make up the numbers .........

"A" team defeated Cheltenham East, Bentleigh West and St Marks to make it to the grand final.  Our "B" team defeated Brighton, Malvern and Carrum and made it to the grand final as well - it was an All St Louis Granny!!!  In a very competitive game, our A team won - phew!  the to top off a stunning afternoon, our girls team won all games including the grand final as well.  Both teams will be travelling to Mount Eliza on Tuesday 14th November for the South Metro region finals.  Great work and thank you to coaches Gareth and Mrs Gill.
