Green Team News

The Green Team had plenty to do last Friday: checking the seedlings planted earlier this term, pulling the naughty weeds that had grown in the last few weeks and planting the vegetable seedlings in the empty garden beds. The seedings we planted were dwarf beans, yellow capsicums, red capsicums, cherry tomatoes, eggplants, cos lettuce and iceberg lettuce.

The students were all enthusiastic to plant some seedlings and quickly put on their gloves and got to work. All the team worked competently and did a fantastic job planting the seedlings. The final task was to water the seedlings to ensure their roots were moist and ready to grow in their new home. We were very pleased to see all the garden beds filled and can’t wait to harvest the crops in the future.

The photos below show the students hard at work.
