Foundation 2024 -Transition and parent session

Thank you to all the parents who attended the second information session where we introduced our Wellbeing staff Ms. Miller and Mrs. Rogers. We also talked about the different ways we communicate with our families include a weekly whole school Newsletter, Team Newsletters distributed at the start of each term and apps including Compass and Seesaw. The children also enjoyed another session at school where they did some cutting and pasting.

Vietnamese Parents’ Afternoon Tea – Wednesday the 15th of November

I would like to invite you to an afternoon tea to meet Huyen, our Vietnamese education support staff member. At this session we would like to talk to you about how to access our school newsletter and students reports. We would also like to find out what else you need to know or need help with. This will help us plan for future information sessions. 

We look forward to meeting you on Wednesday the 15th of November at 2:15pm. Please meet at the office.

World Teachers Day

Friday the 27th of October is World Teachers Day. I would like to acknowledge the amazing teachers at Deer Park West Primary School and express my gratitude for their hard work, collaboration and focusing on the learning and wellbeing of our students. Your passion and dedication is inspiring. Students and parents you can show your support for teachers in different ways and never underestimate the power of a simple ‘thank you’. 

School Council

Thank you to the members of school council who joined me online for our second last meeting of the year. At this meeting we discussed how our school is progressing with the Annual Implementation Plan and facilities projects, we checked in on school finances and approved the common Professional Practice Day and cost for book packs (parental payments) for next year.

The Professional Practice Day is on Friday 24th November, and this is when teachers will be collaborating, writing reports and planning. Please note this is a pupil free day – no students at school. 

The cost for book packs for next year has remained the same at $140. We also have the same opportunity for families to pay in cash before Christmas for a $10 discount paying only $130. 

More information will be sent home with students on Monday the 30th of October, and we will start accepting payments on Tuesday the 31st of October. Please note payments need to be cash only in 2023. 

Swimming

Are you in Year 2, 3, 4 or 5 and you want to go swimming? You can!! There are still places available. Please complete and hand in the forms as soon as possible. If you need a new form, please see the office.

Chương trình chuyển tiếp sang lớp Vỡ lòng ( Prep ) 2024 - Phiên họp phụ huynh

Xin cám ơn quý phụ huynh đã tham dự buổi họp cung cấp thông tin lần thứ hai, chúng tôi đã giới thiệu với quý vị Ms. Miller và Mrs. Rogers, đây là hai nhân viên về phúc lợi ( Wellbeing staff ) của trường. Chúng tôi cũng đã nói chuyện về những phương cách nhà trường giao tiếp với gia đình học sinh, như bản tin hàng tuần của toàn trường, bản tin của các đội ngũ trong trường được phân phối vào đầu các học kỳ, cùng ứng dụng Compass và Seesaw. Các học sinh nhỏ đã rất thích thú khi được tự tay cắt dán hình trong lớp học.

Tiệc trà chào đón các gia đình Việt Nam - Thứ tư 15/11/2023

Thân mời quý phụ huynh đến dự buổi họp mặt để gặp Huyên, nhân viên hỗ trợ giáo dục người Việt Nam. Chúng tôi sẽ nói chuyện về cách truy cập những bản tin của trường và những báo cáo về học sinh. Chúng tôi cũng muốn nghe những gì quý vị cần biết và cần giúp đỡ. Điều này sẽ giúp chúng tôi có kế hoạch tốt cho những phiên họp về thông tin trong tương lai.

Rất mong được gặp gỡ quý phụ huynh vào ngày thứ tư 15/11 lúc 2:15 chiều, tại văn phòng.

Ngày Nhà Giáo Thế Giới

Thứ sáu 27/10 là ngày Nhà Giáo Thế Giới. Tôi xin công nhận đội ngũ giáo viên tuyệt vời của trường tiểu học Deer Park West và muốn bày tỏ lòng biết ơn của tôi đối với các giáo viên về tinh thần làm việc siêng năng, hợp tác chặt chẽ và luôn tập trung vào sự học tập và phúc lợi của học sinh. Niềm đam mê và sự cống hiến của các bạn đã thật sự truyền cảm hứng. Xin cám ơn.

Hội đồng trường học ( School Council )

Xin cám ơn những thành viên của Hội đồng trường học đã tham dự buổi họp trực tuyến với tôi. Chúng ta đã thảo luận về:

• Sự tiến triển của trường đối với kế hoạch thực hiện hàng năm và dự án cơ sở vật chất
• Kiểm tra tài chính của trường 
• Chấp thuận ngày Thực hành chuyên môn chung ( the common Professional Practice Day ) 
• Chi phí sách vở trong năm tới ( phụ huynh chi trả )

Ngày Thực hành chuyên môn chung là ngày thứ sáu 24/11, thầy cô giáo sẽ cùng cộng tác, viết báo cáo và lập kế hoạch. Xin lưu ý đây là ngày học sinh được nghỉ học.

Chi phí sách vở cho năm tới vẫn giữ ở mức $140. Quý phụ huynh trả bằng tiền mặt trước Giáng Sinh sẽ được giảm $10, chỉ trả $130.

Lớp bơi lội 

Các em học sinh lớp 2, 3, 4 hay 5 có muốn đi bơi không? Vẫn còn một số chỗ trống. Nếu muốn, các em hãy nhanh chóng đến gặp thầy cô giáo của mình.
