Athletics Carnival

This week the school held it’s annual Athletics Calendar. Well done to all students who participated. 

It was rewarding to see everyone supporting each other and cheering loudly for their house. A big thank you to the Mackillop students and staff who attended as well as all the parents who make up our school community. 

Year 3 is the first year at Primary School that the students are given the opportunity to try the High Jump, Turbo Jav, Vortex and Long Jump. All students participated enthusiastically and were excited to test their new skills against their class-mates. We have had a focus on High Jump in PE and all Year 3-6 students have developed some technical proficiency to scissor kick and flop to achieve their best jumps. 

Congratulations to all those students who were selected to represent their school on Friday in the STCPSSA carnival at the Domain Athletics Centre.
