Results Day Morning Tea
Date: Monday 11th December
Time: 10.30am – 11.30am
Venue: Senior School Common Room
Year 12 students are invited to a Careers Morning Tea, an opportunity to celebrate results and receive careers advice for 2024 and beyond. We will be providing students with light refreshments and a chance to catch-up and talk about their post-school pathway opportunities.
For VCE and VCE VM students our careers practitioners will be available to support students with understanding their ATAR, course preferencing and how to accept an offer. Many students in our Year 12 cohort are pursuing paid employment, apprenticeships and traineeships and are very welcome to attend to receive support to pursue their pathway too.
Traineeship Opportunities
Welshpool, Toora, Fish Creek & Meeniyan Primary Schools are currently advertising their 2024 positions. There will also be other positions available in Bass Coast. These positions are a great opportunity for students wanting to take a gap year and study education at University the following year. They would also suit students who are interested in starting out in education, through the education support pathway.
Students can contact the school Principals directly or email their resume and cover letter to kcousins@westvic.org.au
Leongatha Bendigo Bank have a business traineeship available. Interested students are encouraged to look at the selection criteria and eligibility at:

YEARS 9 AND 10 - Speed Careers Event
On Thursday, Nov 9th, the Year 9 and 10 students participated in a speed careers event facilitated by the LLEN. 20 local mentors from a range of businesses and occupations were in attendance to answer the student's questions on a variety of career-related questions. The students spent between 10 – 15 minutes with 5 different mentors, investigating all aspects of their job.
We would like to thank the LLEN for organising this fabulous opportunity for our students and acknowledge the generosity of the following mentors who volunteered their time to speak with our students:
