PFA’s Incredible 2024 Journey

As we wrap up to a very busy yet very rewarding year, it's the perfect time to reflect on the wonderful events and initiatives that have made 2024 such a standout year for our school community, all thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Parent and Friends Association (PFA).

From colourful fun runs to delicious fun food days, the PFA has been at the heart of so many memorable moments and some very profitable fundraisers.

Here’s a quick recap of just some of the incredible events fully organized and run by the PFA and volunteers this year:

Colour Run: A vibrant, energetic event that had everyone covered in colour and smiles. This fun-filled day raised both spirits and a huge amount of funds for the school

Mother’s Day Celebrations: A beautiful start to Mother’s Day, where our hardworking parents were treated to a special breakfast. The morning was filled with laughter & gratitude before students spent the day shopping at the ever exciting annual Mothers Day Stall. We also ran the Mothers Day raffle which always adds an extra touch of excitement to the day and helps raise funds that mean we can have the beautiful breakfast.

Disco: The whole school Disco was once again a highlight of the year, where students danced the night away to their favourite tunes. This event always brings so much joy to our school and there are always some fun photos to prove it!

Pizza Day: A cheesy delight! Pizza Day was a hit with students and and fairly stress-free way to raise some funds and have some fun.

Father’s Day Celebrations: Just like the Mother’s Day Events, our Father’s Day Celebrations also give the children the chance share a meal with dad and pick out a gift from the stall for all the special men in their lives.

Choc Top Day: Choc Top Day was a really fun way to enjoy a treat and cool off with a bit of indulgence which also gave us a huge fundraising boost to finish off the year!

Breakfast Club: Held twice a week, every week, Breakfast Club has been a constant support for our students, providing them with a healthy and nutritious start to their day, which would quite literally be impossible without our PFA members, in particular Lyn and Miranda who come in early twice a week to run this important offering for our kids.

The PFA’s tireless efforts this year have created lasting memories, strengthened our sense of community, and provided much needed funds to support to our school and allow for some of the 'extras' we otherwise would have to go without.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, attended, and supported these events. We are so fortunate to have such an incredible group of parents, carers, and staff who truly give us the flexibility and freedom to make a difference.

As we head into 2025, we look forward to even more opportunities to come together as a school community and continue the amazing work of the PFA.  If you have an interest in joining us, or want to volunteer for any of the events next year please email us or reach out on the CSPS Parents Facebook page.

Thank you,

The PFA Team
