This week in Writing, the Grade 2s are building their understanding of narratives. 

VOCABULARY

Understanding is when you know what something means or how it works.

Building is when you are enhancing your understanding. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Choose a memorable event from the school holidays and write using the structure of a beginning, middle and end . Encourage students to include details about the characters, setting, and emotions they experienced during that event.
