CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week in Reading, Grade 2 is analysing the structure of narratives.

VOCABULARY

Analysing is when you look closely at something to understand it better and figure out how it works or why it’s important.

Narratives are stories that tell about events, people, or experiences in a certain order.

Structure is how something is organised or put together.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Read ‘The Gruffalo’ with your child. Ask them to identify the structure of the narrative. You can find the book on You Tube.
