Fire Safety Visits
Over the last fortnight we have had both of our Fire Safety visits. We learnt about good fire and bad fire, to crawl low in smoke, what a safe meeting place is, what an emergency is and when to call 000 (Triple Zero). We were even lucky enough to see a firetruck and spray the hose!
Teddy Bear Hospital
We had so much fun during our Teddy Bear Hospital Incursion. We learnt about healthy eating and exercise, what it would be like to have surgery, looked at x-rays, talked about germs and practised getting a plaster/bandage put on.

Thank you to those who have already completed this.
Getting reading for Grade 1
We are quickly approaching the end of the year and the end of our Preps first year of school. At this point in the year, we begin to prepare the Preps for Grade 1. Students should be lining up outside before the bell each morning and coming into the classroom independently, every day. We would love your support with encouraging your child to do this.
Be Awesome Day Donations
As you may be aware, our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’ is almost upon us (Friday, November 1st). The Prep classrooms will be running three stalls. Our students have voted for the three stalls they would like to run (Face painting, Guess the Jelly Bean & Sandpit Lucky Prize). To help run these stalls were are kindly asking for donations. Below is a list of things you could donate:
-Jelly Beans
-Assorted chocolates and lollies (individually wrapped)
-Blocks of chocolate.
We ask that you only donate what you can. Please give these donations to you child's teacher over the next couple of weeks.
*Please also remember to provide consent & payment on Compass*
We are kindly asking for volunteers for our three Prep Be Awesome Day stalls. There are pieces of paper outside the Prep rooms to write your name down, this can be found on the window where Prep Floyd line up. It contains the three stalls with 15 minute time slots to write your name if you are able to volunteer your time. This will include supervising/running the stall during your time slot. Your help and your time is greatly appreciated, as the teachers will be required to support the students on the day.

The Preps have run out of tissues. If you can donate a box to us, we would very much appreciate it!
