Young @ Art Festival
Thursday November 7
Young @ Art
This fabulous event is an opportunity to celebrate the artistic talents of our students. Every child will have at least one of their artworks on display in an exhibition that will fill the school corridors with beautiful creations. As this is a school fundraising event, entry to the Art Exhibition is by gold coin donation and many of the activities are at gold coin cost and some are even free!!
We will be celebrating all things creative and there will also be many fun activities for children and their families including:
- Face Painting
- Teacher Mystery Bag Raffle: Each teacher has made a themed bag that you can purchase raffle tickets for. Each bag will be raffled off at the assembly after the festival.
- Photo Booth
- Backwards Bingo Draw
- Chocolate Toss
- Silent Auction: Items will include collaborative student artworks as well as other artworks donated by members of our school community
- Sports games
- Music performances
- Other activities
Of course, we will also have food for you to enjoy – a BBQ, cake stall, icypole stand and coffee van will be running on the night for you to purchase treats.
BBQ Volunteers
Please use this link if you can volunteer at our BBQ.
Chocolate Toss
We would be appreciative if families could donate chocolate bars for the 'Chocolate Toss'. This is a popular attraction and we thank you in advance for your donations. All donations can be sent to the office.
Cake Stall
Next week each family will receive instructions and plates for the cake stall. We would be so appreciative for any baked goods to be made and donated and they can be dropped to the Staffroom the day of the festival.
Silent Auction
You do not want to miss the opportunity to bid on this beautiful piece of art created by one of our very own parents. Candy Mo. She generously donated this beautiful piece that we hope will deservedly raise lots of money for the school.
I'm sure we can all picture the perfect place for this piece of art in our own homes!
We are also auctioning a range of collaborative artworks from all year levels. The Silent Auction will be held in Mrs Proctor's room, next to the library.
All money raised from these artworks and your attendance on the afternoon, will go towards our next fundraising initiative which is purchasing more outdoor seating for the playground.
