Last Monday, November 11, Kindergarten students enjoyed a visit to Calmsley Hill City Farm. This visit supports what they have been learning as part of their English unit. Kindergarten students have been writing about different features of farm animals as well as discussing what they provide us. The students rode on a tractor, milked a cow, held different cuddly farm animals and were ‘up close and personal’ with some native Australian animals.
On Monday 11 November, the choir performed several songs for the residents at Kildare Aged Care, who thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful voices from our talented choir. They also sang at the Remembrance Day Service in Maroubra, where the school captains and vice captains laid a wreath. It was a lovely service to honour and remember those who have lost their lives in war.
On Wednesday 13 November, Year 3 went on an excursion to Centennial Parklands. The area we learnt in was Wild Play Garden. We learnt all about the features of a map, how to read maps and what you do with them. After we finished each activity we got to explore and have fun playing in Wild Play. We had a great time on our excursion.

The students are very excited to perform for the St Aidan’s community at the End of Term Concert on Friday 6 December at 9am on the back playground. We hope that you are able to join us to celebrate the student’s musical achievements this term.
Warm regards,
