Origami Workshop

Origami is the ancient Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures.  Students are invited to participate in a lunch time Halloween-themed origami workshop in the library on Thursday 31 October.  Students will be creating bats, ghosts, masu boxes and for the more advanced paper folders, spiders.

Origami is a simple and peaceful activity with positive health benefits including mindfulness. Studies have shown that it enhances concentration, dexterity and fine motor skills. It has also been shown to reduce anxiety and help with ADHD.
