Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0:
This term, our staff have begun an exciting journey into the New Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM) 2.0. This updated model is grounded in the latest findings from the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO), which highlight evidence-based practices that support optimal student learning. With this approach, our teachers are exploring how to create environments that enhance student learning and how to plan and structure lessons for maximum engagement and understanding.
Learning Walks:
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, staff have been engaging in regular learning walks. These walks provide an opportunity to observe classroom practices, identify strengths in teaching, and highlight areas to focus on in future coaching sessions. This reflective approach is vital for building effective strategies that support all students.
Assessment:
Additionally, our students are starting to be assessed across various areas of the curriculum. These assessments offer valuable insights into each student's achievements and growth areas, enabling teachers to tailor their instruction and support individual learning needs.
