NSW PSSA  RELAY  

It was a big week for our school leaders, who participated in the 2024 Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Conference at Myall Creek on Monday and Tuesday and then ran in Homebush on Thursday in the Small Schools Relay. Congratulations to Emily, Ivy, Aiden, and Grace for representing POLDING and running in the PP5 Relay. We hope you enjoyed the experience. 

We were cheering you all on from the classrooms last Thursday. 

Thank you to parents and family members who transported students to make this event possible.

Diocesan Basketball and Tennis Trials ~ Friday 6th December - Tamworth

Schools are invited to nominate students of a proficient skill level to the Diocesan Basketball and Tennis Trials in Tamworth on Friday, 6th December 2024. A Diocesan team and individuals will be selected to represent the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Trials in Tamworth in 2025.

Event Date: Friday 6th December 2024. Trials commence at 9:30 am but we ask all children to arrive at 9:00 am. Trials are expected to finish at approximately 2:00 pm. 

Event Venue: 

Basketball (Boys & Girls): Tamworth Sports Dome, Jack Smyth Drive, Tamworth. 

Tennis (Girls & Boys): Belmore Park Tennis Courts, 16 Gidley Street, Tamworth. 

Nomination due date: Nominations are due by Monday, 25th November 2024 at 3:00pm to Mrs Goddard.

In tennis, the Diocese will select 3 boys and 3 girls. In basketball, they will select 6 boys and 6 girls. Playing experience and a preferred position must be supplied when nominating to Mrs Goddard.

TERM 4 SPORTING SCHOOL GRANT ~ SWIMMING

This term, all students will attend the Boggabri Swimming Pool to participate in swimming skills with qualified swimming instructors Maxine Keillor and Louise Shanley from Gunnedah.  This has been made possible thanks to the Sporting Schools Government Grants that we were fortunate to receive. 

The swimming sessions will occur every day from Monday, 25th November to Friday, 29th November (Week 7) 12:30pm ~ 1:30pm. A Compass Event will be added in the next couple of weeks. As always, please ensure that you have given permission and made payment for your child by the due date so that they don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity. If your child has a season ticket, please let Ms Traynor know so she does not add a cost to your child's event.
