Future Foundation Art Exhibition
Congratulations to Zoe, Kurt, Aleena, Rhea, Kathy and Zarith who can now proudly say they are 'exhibited artists'!
These six artistically talented students gave up their Saturday mornings for the last 14 weeks to work with specially selected mentors to create some incredible art pieces which were launched at Thomastown Library on Thursday 7 November.
Students from Lalor East have been lucky to be able to be involved in this wonderful free program for several year thanks to the generosity of the Future Foundation group. Sadly, due to difficulty sourcing ongoing funding, 2024 is the last year this incredible program will be offered.
Special thanks to Rebekah (coordinator), Afrah, Elena, Jasmine, Jen, Jienwern and Zainab (mentors) who supported our students with their artist endeavours. Your efforts will be appreciated by our students forever!
Thank you also to Angela Perry, and other members of the FF Board, whose dedication to Future Foundation and tireless efforts securing funds over last 17 years made it possible for not just these lucky 6 LEPS students but many, many other students in the Thomastown/Lalor and Noble Park areas have the opportunity to explore their passion for art.
Thank you to Kristian, Isaac, Hazel, Hannah, Shona, Pauline and Natalie who attended the official opening. The students and their families really appreciated your being there for the big unveiling.
