It’s time to recognise the incredible staff who make Balmoral State High School the vibrant, values-led community it is. We’re inviting our school community to cast their vote in the 2025 Staff Awards – Term 4, celebrating the educators and team members who go above and beyond to lead with heart, innovate with courage, and foster belonging across our school.

EyeDeal Optometrist supports Balmoral State High School
Balmoral State High School is proud to acknowledge the generous support of EyeDeal Optometrist through our Hungry Kids Program.
Their sponsorship plays a vital role in ensuring that every student has access to a nutritious lunch, particularly those who may arrive at school without the food they need to stay focused and engaged throughout the day. With EyeDeal Optometrist’s contribution, we are able to prepare fresh sandwiches, fruit, snacks, and essential supplies that help remove barriers to learning and support the wellbeing of our young people.
Beyond daily lunches, their support also allows us to provide basic resources for students who may be experiencing hardship — including hygiene items, stationery, and other essentials that help them participate fully in school life with confidence. This generosity directly strengthens our school community and ensures that students who need a little extra support can receive it discreetly and with dignity.
EyeDeal Optometrist’s commitment to giving back is truly making a difference at Balmoral State High School, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership in supporting the health, wellbeing, and future success of our students.
🎸 Australian Music T-Shirt Day Concert Recap
Yesterday, our talented Balmoral Rock Bands took to the stage to celebrate Australian Music T-Shirt Day with a special Aussie Music Concert — proudly sporting their favourite Australian artist tees.
Our incredible bands Trial & Error, Wait… That’s Not a Rock Song, TBD, soloist Arlo, The PopRocks, and our staff band The Accelerators lit up the Arts Hall with classics from Powderfinger, Crowded House, Lash, Spiderbait, and Thirsty Merc.
The audience were fantastic, cheering, clapping, and singing along to every moment.
A huge congratulations to all performers — you were outstanding! And thank you to everyone who came along to support Australian music and celebrate the creativity of our students. 🎶👏
Year 10 TMT
Year 10 TMT are working on their 1:10 scale cubby houses this week, one of many creative designs built as part of this term’s assessment.
Several of these student-made cubbies will soon be gifted to the Prep class at Murarrie State School, adding a touch of Balmoral creativity to their play spaces.
A great example of hands-on learning, community connection, and real-world design skills in action.
Sendai Seiryo Secondary School, Japan
This morning, we gathered on V Block to farewell our friends from Sendai Seiryo Secondary School, Japan. 🇯🇵💙
Our Principal presented each visiting student with a certificate to mark their time at Balmoral, celebrating the connections, learning, and memories formed during their stay. It was a proud moment shared with their Balmoral buddies, who have supported and welcomed them throughout the exchange.
A wonderful end to a special visit — we hope to see our Sendai Seiryo friends again soon! ✨
