Dear Families,

Welcome to Week 6.  With the weather warming up, I again ask for students to wear hats at school each and every day.  We have swim school coming up and, as stated on our Facebook post, check those rash vests and swimmers so that students are ready and prepared.  Label everything, each year schools get a new collection of towels and goggles that belong to nobody but came from somewhere.

We are busy preparing for the end of year events including fun days at pools, getting into the Christmas spirit and also polishing up performances for Presentation Day.

This year we will hold our formal assembly first, followed by a morning tea and then, for those who can stay, an end of year performance.  We welcome all members of the community to this event at the Memorial Hall.

Monday Week 8 the ACS P&C are meeting for the final time this year.  It would be great to see some new faces, and also some returning faces, there for this meeting.  Remember, the P&C is your chance to have a voice.  I want to thank the members of the P&C this year for the hard work they have put into making things happen for all students at ACS.

Have a great next couple of weeks and stay safe.

~ Mrs Taylor

Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics

A feature of the public education system in NSW is the opportunity to provide time in class for education in ethics, faith and morality from a religious or non-religious perspective at the choice of parents/carers.

For more information about Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics please visit: https://education.nsw.gov.au/religion-and-ethics

A note went home with every student earlier this week asking for parents/carers preference of:

· Special Religious Education—Scripture; or

· Alternative Meaningful Activities—Non-Scripture.

In the event this note didn’t make it home, parents/carers can lodge their preference here:

A parent/carer may at any time notify the school in writing that they wish to change their decision.  Students will continue the same arrangement as the previous year, unless a parent/carer has requested a change in writing.
