2026 Transition Morning

To support our students in preparing for next year, our Transition Morning will take place on Tuesday December 9th. This is an exciting opportunity for students to meet their new teacher and classmates in their 2026 learning spaces.

Arrangements for the day:

  • Students will start the day in their current (2025) classrooms.
  • At 9:15 am, students will move to their new 2026 classrooms to meet their new teacher.
  • The transition session will conclude at recess.

2026 Prep students will be attending from 9:30 am – 11:45 am.

We understand that change can sometimes feel complex for students. We encourage families to focus on the positives - new friendships, new opportunities, and a fresh start. We look forward to a successful morning of connections!

School Captains 2026

The process of selecting our student leaders for next year has begun with a wonderful display of public speaking. On Monday, fifteen nominees delivered speeches explaining why they wish to lead the school next year. It was a proud moment to see so many students stepping up with such confidence.

To ensure a fair and thorough selection, the process follows these steps:

  • Speeches: Delivered to students (Grades 2-5) and teachers.
  • Voting: Votes are cast by peers and staff to generate a shortlist.
  • Interviews: Shortlisted students will be interviewed by Mrs. Miller and Mr. Gamble.

We are excited to complete this process and will announce the outcome to the community before the final day of term.

Making the school in Minecraft

I wanted to share a lovely moment that spilled out of our DigiTech program today. A group of our Grade 3/4 students have undertaken a massive project: rebuilding our entire school inside Minecraft.

What started as a class task quickly turned into a passion project. Watching them work was a highlight of my day—not just because of their technical skills, but because of the incredible collaboration on display. They were negotiating who would build the which part of the oval, one student laying foundations for the other to add to, how to get the scale of the playground right, and solving design problems together in real-time. It was wonderful to see their creativity and to see them taking such pride in their school environment, both physical and digital. We love your work: Oscar, Cooper, Charlie, Ryan, Riley - and especially Mr Suter for lighting the curiousity fire.
