How Our Teaching Approaches Have Benefited Your Child

As we wrap up a busy year, we’re proud to reflect on the successes that have made St Luke’s a vibrant place for learning and growth. Every day has been an opportunity for students and teachers to thrive together!

Introducing Magnify

This year, Catholic Education Sandhurst launched Magnify across 51 schools—a research-based suite of resources designed to improve student outcomes and experiences. Its mantra, every child, every teacher, every school, every day, is one we’ve embraced wholeheartedly.

Magnify gives us a clear, consistent framework for teaching and learning. It helps teachers deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum, collaborate with peers, and share best practices so every child receives high-quality instruction.

Tools That Make a Difference

  • StepLab: A coaching cycle that provides real-time feedback, helping teachers refine lessons and strategies continuously. This means your child benefits from proven, effective teaching.

  • Classroom Mastery: Focused on a “behaviour curriculum,” ensuring consistent routines and expectations across classrooms. This reduces cognitive load and builds strong foundations for success.

A Rich Learning Experience

We explicitly teach literacy, mathematics, humanities, and science using quality resources. Students explore the “big ideas” that shape our world, building vocabulary, critical thinking, and curiosity—skills that last a lifetime. Our low-variance approach ensures every child, in every year level, has equal access to these opportunities.

More Than Academics

These strategies don’t just improve results – and we know they do because our formal assessments results show the positive impact on student achievement —they nurture resilience, problem-solving, and a love of learning. They align beautifully with our Catholic values, helping every child grow in knowledge and character.

Thank You

We are deeply grateful to our parents, carers, and school community for your trust and partnership. Together, we’re creating an environment where every child can flourish academically and personally. We look forward to continuing this journey with you in the year ahead!
