From the Principal

Dear families,
No one can say that things here at ACS have slowed down in the last week of school. As I type this final message for the year the Secondary students are at Lake Talbot hitting the slides and Primary are preparing for the final glitter fest that is Christmas craft. We have been eating our way through the week taking advantage of the kindness of teachers, Brigette from the Salvation Army, and the ACS P&C.
Yesterday we had a wellbeing day, with Eli leading the charge to plan the activities for the middle session. Tomorrow will end with a sausage sizzle by the pool then a relaxing afternoon in the cool.
Each family has been gifted a hamper this year. We have been lucky to have donations sent to us to allow for everyone to have a little something to help out at this time, spread joy and stay active. These will be sent home today and tomorrow with reports.
Thank you to everyone who made Tuesday's Presentation a great day, as I said days like that are exactly what makes our community great. I look forward to continuing to build strong connections between the school and community in 2026.
Our HSC results came out today and we are very proud of the efforts of each of the students here at ACS and the wider RAP students from Hillston, Ariah Park, Oaklands, Barellan and Lockhart Central Schools.
School returns for all staff on January 27 and students on February 2. The office will be open from 9am on the 27th. If you need to contact the school during the break, please email. We will not be checking daily, but will be checking in. The school admin mobile will also be checked daily. This number is 0427 627 065.
Stay safe and have a great Christmas. For those families who are moving on we wish you all the best in your new settings and for everyone else, we can't wait to see you in the new year.
Mrs Taylor
