Earlier this term our new student leaders took part in a transformative Fundamentals of Leadership workshop with Richard Burton, the co-founder of MyDesign Education.
This 1-day workshop stepped through:

All of Year 10 attended "Love Bites' safe relationships informative wellbeing workshop on Monday 24 November.
Love Bites is a respectful relationships program that has been developed by NAPCAN based on best practice standards for education programs and has been formally endorsed by the NSW Department of Education. It consists of interactive workshops delivered over a 1-day session that provides young people with a safe environment to examine, discuss and explore respectful relationships.
Trained external professionals, including local police and representatives from Wingecarribee Shire Council presented the program.

Last week, 12 Chevalier students attended The Wingecarribee Youth Forum at Bowral Memorial Hall. This was an inspiring and empowering day that brought young people together to share their ideas, concerns and visions for their community.
Through group work, Shark Tank-style pitches and panel discussions, students collaborated on real issues such as mental health, community events and environmental sustainability, and presented their ideas to community leaders, including the mayor. Guest speakers, including Shruthi from Year 11, to discuss her amazing Design and Tech major work and environmental advocate-comedian Dan, shared powerful stories that motivated and encouraged students to think creatively and take action.
Surrounded by like-minded peers, participants built confidence, strengthened teamwork and left feeling heard, inspired and ready to contribute to positive change in their community.
On Monday, 10 November, some of our Year 10 students hosted visiting students from other local High Schools for some collaborative workshops aimed at holistic wellbeing to best support them as they approach their senior high school years. Students worked closely and looked at time management strategies, goal setting techniques and implementation and how to best support their wellbeing throughout their HSC journey.
It was a pleasure to see the relationships and collaboration between all students developed throughout the day. We enjoyed learning and sharing with our visiting schools and look forward to welcoming them back next year.
A huge thank you to Scott P, Elsie W, Zeke F, Harper T, Claire D, and Lucas D, on their invaluable input throughout the day, and preparation leading up to the day. We hope our visitors took some valuable skills and strategies to support their own growth over the next two years and can share the amazing work done by all in their own schools and spaces as we move towards 2026.
