Hello Everyone, and Welcome to the End of Term 1!
It’s hard to believe how quickly Term 1 has come and gone! As we close out this busy term, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your continued connection to our school and your unwavering commitment to supporting your children. Your hard work and dedication ensure that our students are ready for learning and success every day.
As we reflect on the past few months, it's clear how much we've accomplished. From the East Survivor and Parent-Teacher Interviews to introducing our new school leaders, we’ve been busy making strides together. We also kicked off The Resilience Project, tackled NAPLAN, and held various parent information sessions in the Arts Centre such as; the Phone Pledge and Anglicare’s support for kids with anxiety, ADHD, and big feelings. And of course, our students proudly represented our school at numerous sporting events.
One of the major highlights was completing our school review, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s contributions throughout the process. Your insights and involvement help us continue to improve and grow as a school community.
Yesterday, we wrapped up the term with the much-anticipated bake-off between our Hands on Learning staff. Although there were some lively debates on which slice was the best, one thing’s for sure: we all emerged as winners, enjoying some delicious treats and a lot of fun along the way! Not to mention, we raised $230 that will go towards the much-anticipated GAGA PIT!
Today, we say farewell to Chelsea Tucker and Brit Church as they begin their family leave in preparation for the exciting arrival of their new little ones. We wish them all the very best during this special time and eagerly await the arrival of some new Little Easties! Congratulations, Chelsea and Brit! 🎉👶✨
A Reminder for Term 2: We will start Term 2 with a shortened week, commencing on Tuesday, April 22nd (as Monday is Easter Monday) and finishing on Thursday, April 24th (due to ANZAC Day on Friday). With that said, here’s wishing everyone a restful holiday break. We look forward to seeing everyone next term, ready for another exciting chapter!
Thank you once again for your ongoing support. I look forward to what the next term has in store!
