A big shout out to our P&C who donated $31,500.00 to the school on Tuesday night at the P&C meeting. This was the profits from Country Fair. We plan on buying new aluminium seating for our playground. Thank you to everyone who supported the Country Fair either by helping on the day, organising or coming to enjoy the fair. It is such a wonderful event in our school calendar each year.
Staff Development Days - At the beginning of Term 2 we have two staff development days Monday 28/4/2025 and Tuesday 29/4/2025. All staff will be participating in professional learning on Monday focusing on High Potential Gifted Education. Teaching staff will be working with other Bathurst Primary Schools at Bathurst West PS while our support staff will be working together at the Carenne PS. Administration staff will be at Eglinton. All staff will be on site at Eglinton on the Tuesday. Students return on Wednesday 30/4/2025
I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Easter break. I hope the Easter Bunny is good to everyone. We look forward to seeing all the children when we return in Term 2.
On Saturday 5 April, the RSL Youth Band performed at the 140th Anniversary Celebration Concert in Machattie Park. Chase, Piper, Emily, Leo, and Logan were part of the Youth Band playing some beautiful music and entertaining the audience.
On Friday 4 April, our netball team competed in the PSSA Netball Knockout Gala Day. The team had a convincing win against West Bathurst PS in the first game with an impressive score of 33-2. This win ensured the team progressed to the second round against Bathurst PS. This game proved to be a real nail biter, with our team really stepping it up in the last quarter, finally going down by just 2 goals (16-14). Congratulations to our team on a fantastic day! You all represented our school admirably and we are all very proud of you.
Team: Phoebe Hemming, Amity De Montemas, Aaliyah Newham, Oaklea Sharman, Kahtia Marple, Shania Mulligan, Millie George, Billy Healey, Harley Roxburgh and Jack Willott.
Congratulations to our three players who nominated for and successfully made it into the Western Division team. We wish Phoebe, Oaklea and Millie good luck.
And a huge congratulations to Harley Roxburgh who has been selected to trial at the NSW Netball Primary All Schools Boys 12 Years Trials on Wednesday 21 May in Orange. We wish Harley all the best.
Congratulations to Jack Williams who has been selected to play in the NSWPSSA Primary Rugby League 11 Years Team. Jack will participate in the Championships in Blacktown from 2 June to 4 June. We would also like to congratulate Jack for being selected to trial for the WSSA Rugby Union Boys 12 Trials in Orange on Friday 2 May.
