Ride to School Day – Today! 🚴‍♂️🚲

Today is Ride to School Day! It’s been fantastic to see so many students choosing to ride, scoot, or walk to school, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. A big thank you to everyone who participated and to families for supporting this initiative.

Remember, staying active is a great way to start the day, and we encourage students to continue riding and walking to school whenever possible. Well done, Easties! 🚴‍♀️🎉

School Council 2025 

We are pleased to welcome our new School Council members for 2025: Priscilla Landy, Sam Bray, and Harly Kurth. Their passion for education, fresh perspectives, and dedication to our school community will be invaluable as we continue to grow and improve. Welcome back to Shakira Wood, Lorri Garfield, Lisa Baker, Daryl Brown, Mel Price, Jodi Boal and Rebecca Turner. We look forward to working together to support the needs of our students, staff, and families while shaping the future direction of our school.

At the same time, we extend our sincere gratitude to Chris Campbell, Kim Gilsenan, and Sheree Schwencke for their years of dedication and service on the School Council. Their hard work, thoughtful decision-making, and commitment to enhancing the learning environment at Echuca East have played a vital role in many positive developments. Their contributions, whether in governance, strategic planning, or community engagement, have left a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate their efforts. Thank you to all past and present School Council members for your continued support in making our school the best it can be!

NAPLAN Update

NAPLAN testing is now complete for another year, and we couldn't be prouder of our Grade 3 and 5 students for their effort and perseverance throughout the assessments. Their dedication and focus were truly commendable.

A huge thank you to our staff for their support in ensuring a smooth and well-organized testing process. From preparation to implementation, their commitment to student success made all the difference.

We look forward to receiving the results later in the year, which will provide valuable insights into student learning and help guide future teaching and learning strategies. Well done to everyone involved!

School Review Update

Our school review process is nearing completion, with the final day scheduled for next Monday, 24th March. So far, we have completed Validation Day and Fieldwork Day, which involved gathering feedback from students, staff, and parents, analysing data, and conducting classroom observations.

The final day will be an opportunity to reflect on key findings and collaboratively set goals and targets for our next School Strategic Plan. We appreciate the valuable input from our school community throughout this process and look forward to using these insights to drive continued improvement at Echuca East.

Assembly

It was wonderful to have our Prep students join us for their very first whole school assembly today! They sat beautifully, listened attentively, and participated with enthusiasm. We are so proud of how well they embraced this new experience.

Looking ahead, next week will be our final assembly for the term—we hope to see you there! Wishing everyone a restful weekend!
