Junior School Sport

Junior School students started the PE year by diving into our water safety lessons, learning valuable skills to help keep us safe around water, and having lots of fun in the process.

Over sixty students then swam superbly at our swimming trials, followed by amazing efforts from select students in District, Division and Regional swimming events. Congratulations to Luke C, who finished 5th in freestyle and Isaiah L, who finished 3rd in backstroke at the Regional Level.

The Year 3 and 4 students have been honing their dance skills this term, before performing a concert to parents in the last week of term.

From dancing to running, all students should be very proud of their efforts in our recent Cross-Country event.

The first PE event on the Term 2 calendar is our Athletics Day, which the students have been preparing for in their PE lessons in Term 1. We have practiced and refined our skills in long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin, hurdles and sprinting. I am looking forward to an exciting Term 2 in Junior School PE.
