BIOLAB VISIT

Year 11 VCE Physical Education students visit Biolab
On Friday 21st of March, our Year 11 VCE Physical Education students visited Biolab in Belmont as part of their studies in Unit 1, Area of Study 1 – How the Body Works to Produce Movement.
During the excursion, students had access to specialised laboratory equipment and took part in both theoretical and practical activities to deepen their understanding of the cardiorespiratory system. They closely examined the relationship between heart rate, stroke volume, and cardiac output, using real-time data collection to explore acute responses to exercise.
This hands-on experience reinforced key concepts from their coursework and provided a valuable opportunity to apply their learning in a practical setting.
