Message from the Principal Team
Week 10 Term 2
Mural on the Accessible Toilet Block
The school community is abuzz with anticipation as we watch the creation of our stunning new school mural unfold. Local artist Melanie Caple and her partner Rick have been thoroughly enjoying their interactions with students, staff, and the community as they work together to bring this masterpiece to life. Due to upcoming weather conditions and pre-existing commitments, Melanie and Rick’s return will be delayed until Saturday 29 June. They will continue to work on the mural during the school holidays. Our juvenile magpie that looks out at Canning Street is already bringing joy to the wider school community.
Semester 1 Student Reports
Semester 1 Student Reports will be published on Wednesday 26 June. These reports include teacher judgement against the achievement standards, assigned as a score that accurately reflects where each student is along the relevant learning continuum for all curriculum areas taught during the reporting period.
Thank you to our dedicated teaching staff for working hard over the duration of Term 2 to write our Semester 1 Student Reports. At CNPS we provide many varied forms of reporting student learning progress to parents. These include ongoing updates through SeeSaw, Semester Student Reports, parent/carer and teacher interviews, student-led conferences, parent information sessions, weekly updates from classroom teachers, student achievement awards, individual learning plans, student support group meetings and other meetings on request from parents.
Parent/Carer Interviews have been set for Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 July. These interviews provide parents and carers with the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress with their teacher including their child’s next steps of learning.
Early Finish on the Last Day of School - Change of Lunch Time
A reminder that we finish at 2:30pm on the last day of each school term (1:30pm last day of school year). Next Friday 28 June, school will finish at 2:30pm. As a result our timetable for the day will change and students will be eating lunch at 12:30pm before going out to play from 12:40-1:30 pm. Lunch orders will still go ahead and Assembly will be at 2:10pm.
