Introducing the Shine and Strength Program

                        

 

This term we have commenced an 8-week outreach program for our grade 5 and 6 students, run by an organisation called 1000 Generations. This is the Shine and Strength program and will run on Wednesdays at LEPS between 12.40-1.40pm.

 

1000 Generations exist to empower individuals and families with life and leadership skills, and by teaching them about their true worth and value and by giving children the tools they need to believe in themselves and find their purpose for the future.

 

Shine is a unique personal development and group mentoring program designed for girls, using an inspirational, practical and experiential approach.

Objectives:

  • Identify themselves as valuable with much to contribute to society.
  • Build confidence and gain an understanding of intrinsic value.
  • Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand they can have a positive influence in their world.
  • Identify personal desires and strengths to motivate them to set and achieve personal goals

Session Two: I AM ONE OF A KIND, Wednesday 31st July

Session Three: I AM WONDERFULLY MADE, Wednesday 7th August

Session Four: I HAVE THE POWER OF CHOICE, Wednesday 14th August

Session Five: MY DECISIONS DETERMINE MY DESTINATION, Wednesday 21st August

Session Six: I HAVE RESILIENCE, Wednesday 4th September

Session Seven: MY POTENTIAL IS LIMITLESS, Wednesday 11th September

Session Eight: MY LIFE HAS PURPOSE, Wednesday 18th September

 

Strength is a unique personal development and group mentoring program designed for boys to understand their personal identity, purpose and help give direction for their life.

 

Objectives:

  • Identify themselves as valuable with much to contribute.
  • Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand they are able to have a positive influence in their world.
  • Identify personal desires to motivate them to set and achieve personal goals.
