Students in 4/56 have been working on a range of poems in the last few weeks. We have discussed literacy devices such as alliteration, repetition, metaphors, similes, and personification. Revisited nouns, verbs, and adjectives, as well as used mentor texts to inspire, such as ‘Where Broccoli Comes From’ by Michael Rosen.

Where Bananas Come From

Only some people know banana’s grow of cassowary’s toes in the Daintree Rainforest and when the cassowaries go to sleep, they sleep in the trees and the banana’s fall of their toes and the brave banana collectors get the bananas and put banana seeds on the cassowary’s toes so I just thought you might want to know.

Where Do Banana’s Come From?

Well, banana’s come from the solar system, they grow on Venus’ yellow trees.

The astronauts carefully cut the bananas off of the trees, if they don’t be careful, the entire yellow tree will collapse, and the bananas will turn brown.

Where Celery comes from

Not many people know that Celery grows out of green men's ears, little men wait for the green men to sleep and sneak into the big green men's ears and chop the celery out and take it back to their village. 

And that's where celery comes from. Not many people know that, but…. I’d thought I'd let you know!

Where Cherries come from

NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW THIS, but I thought that I will tell you so here we go. Cherries come from people’s belly button and there are tiny people that come in your room and chop off your belly button and eat the cherries on your dog and run off to the woods and eat you belly button. I thought you should know bye

Where Dragon fruit Comes from

Not many people know that dragon fruit comes from outer space men's bellybutton in the morning men and women go to outer space with ladders while the outer space men are sleeping the men and women suck the dragon fruit out of the bellybutton.
