(Willy Kids are Reflective Learners)

Reflecting on our own learning means that we are checking to make sure we understand what we’ve been learning about, and that we’ve done the best that we can do. We apply critical thinking to our work and make plans about how we can improve. Being reflective learners means we have conversations about our learning so that we can appreciate the growth in our own learning and the learning of others. We self-assess and accept feedback from peers and teachers to help set goals for our future learning.

We are reflective learners when we:

* set high expectations for ourselves and the work we do

* reflect on our work critically and creatively 

* use initiative to know when we need extra support

* self-assess and celebrate our achievements

* set new learning goals
