PROJECT READY

Community

Students participating in Project Ready have really embraced connecting to the community.

Dromana Community Garden features some new enhancements created by the students. The space is a wonderful family friendly plot, not far from the heart of Dromana where you can take a stroll on the beautifully decorated pavers or put your feet up amongst the local’s veggie plots and children’s gardens.

Visits to Dromana Community House are extremely productive as students and volunteers produce many delicious, wholesome meals for others in their local area.

Mecwacare aged care in Safety Beach has been a wonderful connection with students engaging in games and conversations with residents.

A HUGE thank you to the wonderful people at Mornington Garden Club for organising the special activity with us and giving so much of their own time and Woolworths for the tremendous amount of flowers.

Students recently had the opportunity to produce posies for the whole PSC community of Mothers and Special People. Our classroom was filled to the brim with beautiful aromatics and flowers as students were guided by our talented friends from the garden club.

Deliveries were made across the whole school, some of the feedback being “thank you for making my Mum smile” and “My Nan loved her flowers”.
