Learning & Teaching

Year 5 and 6 Children Leading the Way Around Our Health and Wellbeing Pillars.

Today our Year 5 & 6 children led rotations throughout the day based around the six pillars of health and wellbeing they had been investigating across the term. The six pillars of health and wellbeing the children explored were; mental, emotional, social, spiritual, physical and digital. This day enabled the children to take action around their learning from their Inquiry unit.

Over the course of the day the children moved around the school in mixed-age groups, experiencing the well-thought-out and informative lessons that were planned and facilitated by our Year 5/6 leaders. Thank  to Kate B, Luke, Pat, Lisa and all the Year 5 and 6 children for organising this powerful learning opportunity for our school. It was a lovely way to finish off the term.

Telling the Time in Year 2

Reading an analogue clock is a skill that requires lots of practice in different contexts. Our Year 2 children practised reading an analogue clock in their Maths unit on Time, and have continued to practice reading the clock in their classroom and during their Daily Maths Reviews. Here is a video of our Year 2 children revisiting this skill in a review session.
