Blackrock Industries

Last year Blackrock Industries and St Joseph’s Catholic College started an initiative where VET students are being prepared for the work environment. The local company generously donated Hi-Vis work shirts for the Vocational Education and Training cohort which are worn every lesson in both Metals & Engineering and Construction. Blackrock CEO and past student Steven Fordham, recently came and addressed the students from Years 10, 11 and 12, regarding work force requirements and policies, and provided another donation of personal protective Equipment including shirts, safety glasses and earmuffs.
So now all TTC classes, namely Year 10 Metalwork, Year 11 and 12 Industrial Technology Timber, Year11 and 12 VOC Ed Construction and Manufacturing & Engineering classes are now kitted out with industry standard equipment. A huge thank you must be extended to Steve and Blackrock Industries for the ongoing donation of work attire. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with them which we hope will continue well into the future.
