Lolly Jar Circus Incursion
Every Monday this term, Yellow Class have been participating in a variety of exciting gross motor activities led by the Lolly Jar Circus trainers. The students have enjoyed exploring a range of sensory materials that support their interests and sensory needs, including colourful scarves, parachutes, flow ring spinners, and juggling balls.
These afternoon sessions have also provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to connect with peers from the Junior Class. Together, they have enjoyed engaging in play, developing social skills, and having lots of fun in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As part of our Health Curriculum, students are engaging in an “Eat the Rainbow” theme, exploring how foods come in different colours and how each colour provides different benefits for our bodies. The first two colours we have explored are orange, which helps our bodies stay strong, and red, which supports our hearts. Students have shown curiosity and enthusiasm for this learning and explored the concepts through sensory trays, shared reading, pretend play and been provided with opportunities to touch, smell and taste.
