Over the past few Sundays, our Church community has celebrated several significant moments in the life of Jesus, including the Ascension and Pentecost. These celebrations remind us that Jesus promised to remain with us always and encouraged his followers to go out into the world and share the Good News through their words and actions.

Students have been exploring Pentecost in their Religious Education lessons, learning about its meaning as the moment when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and filled them with courage and hope. Red, the colour of Pentecost, represents the flames of the Holy Spirit and reminds us of the energy and life that the Spirit brings to our world. Students have been learning about symbols such as wind, fire, and the dove, each showing the Spirit’s presence and guidance in our lives.

Senior East made Pentecost windsocks which remind us of the Holy Spirit when the streamers blow in the wind.

This Sunday, we turn our focus to the Most Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a time to reflect on the mystery of God’s love, shown to us in three distinct ways, yet united as one. As a school community, it invites us to think about how we can live out that love in our relationships, our learning, and our daily choices.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit,

as it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be,

a world without end.
