Dear School Community,
Catholic Education Week – Celebrating How We Shine
Catholic Education Week was officially celebrated from 18–24 May across 101 Catholic schools, bringing together communities to honour the unique gifts of every student and the vibrant spirit of Catholic education. This year’s theme invited us to reflect on the many ways we “shine” as a school community, through our learning, our relationships and our commitment to living with open hearts each day.
At our school, Catholic Education Week was a joyful and affirming celebration of who we are and what we value. It was a time to recognise that every student has their own way of shining and that each contribution adds to the richness of our community.
Throughout the week, our students participated in a variety of meaningful opportunities to share their learning and showcase their strengths. Whether through classroom activities or informal interactions, students demonstrated the many ways they engage with learning and connect with others.
Our celebrations were deeply grounded in our Catholic identity. We acknowledged that our ability to shine comes from nurturing open hearts, showing compassion, respect and care in all that we do. Catholic Education Week provided an opportunity to reaffirm our shared mission of supporting each student to flourish as a valued and loved member of our community.
As we move forward, we carry with us the spirit of Catholic Education Week continuing to celebrate each student’s strengths and to create learning environments where every individual can experience success, belonging and joy.
We are proud of the many ways our students shine each day!
We also wish to inform our community that Stephanie Grant from Our Lady of La Vang will be taking Long Service Leave for Term 3. During this time, Sean Perry will continue in his role as Head of Campus at Our Lady of La Vang, and Melanie Condon will remain in her role as Deputy Head of Campus at St Patrick’s. We extend our sincere thanks to Sean and Mel for their ongoing leadership and commitment, and for their willingness to continue supporting the school throughout the term. We also take this opportunity to wish Stephanie a wonderful time away.
Kind regards
