Congratulations to Renxuan and Theo, who played for the Sydney West Association team and came 4th and 2nd respectively.
True to form, both Renxuan and Theo did an amazing job against Pitt Town Public School in the round 4 State Knockout match.
Girls' match – a resounding 33–4 win
The Girls' team played superbly to avenge last year's loss to Pitt Town Public School. Renxuan shone through with her skill, toughness, determination, and leadership. Special mention to April, who did an amazing job in defence in her first State Knockout match. The rest of the girls also chipped in to consolidate the win.
Boys' match – a comprehensive 54–4 win
The Boys had a very tough game last year against Pitt Town Public School, but this time – true to Sydney West Association Team form – Theo produced the goods.
Not just Theo, Ryan again shone bright with his skills and determination. After a tough few minutes at the start, Ryan, Theo, Jayden, Kaixin and Bryan showed exceptional defence and worked as a whole to make the game look easy. The rest of the team all contributed to comprehensively win 54–4.
Next round
Now onto the next round against Riverbank Public School in Week 10. All parents are welcome to come and watch the Carlingford West Girls and Boys basketball teams play.

On 4 June, the Carlingford West Senior Boys Soccer Team faced Rose Hill Public School in the second round of the State Knockout Competition.
Carlingford West came out firing, scoring two early goals and setting the tone for an impressive performance. The team displayed excellent resilience, teamwork, and chemistry throughout the match, combining skilful passing with confident dribbling to create numerous scoring opportunities.
By halftime, Carlingford West had built a commanding 5–0 lead. The boys continued to apply relentless pressure in the second half, pressing high and challenging every ball with determination and energy. It was fantastic to see the Senior Boys working together so effectively and demonstrating such positive sportsmanship.
The final score was a remarkable 12–0 victory to Carlingford West. Congratulations to all players on an outstanding team effort. The boys now progress to the next round, where they will face Warragamba Public School on 11 June 2026. We wish them the very best of luck!
