Fast and Focussed - Oliver Shines at Go Karting Event 

Junior Karter Oliver, touches back fresh from the podium of the Nationals Go Karting race. From his first race in Coffs Harbour, Oliver has managed to compete against many of the top players in the world. Reaching 14th internationally at his peak at a Macau track even after an engine failure during the race. However, Oliver doesn’t only play Go Karting for competition, he also truly enjoys his passion and is also keen to win a blue plate (State best) or green plate (Nationally best). 

 

Even now, Oliver is still motivated to continue his passion of Go Karting, determined to compete with more of the world’s best drivers. He is always keen to improve his driving skills to pursue his ultimate dream of reaching Formula 1 racing, following his role model: Lewis Hamilton - a British driver.

But before Oliver reaches F1, he commits his week to daily intensive training. As part of his training, he exercises everyday

· sometimes at home and sometimes at a Go Karting track. He does specialised neck, head and arm training to ensure he can reach his maximum potential when driving.

· Oliver explains that it is essential to have heightened awareness and memory so he knows when to turn, increase speed or overtake other drivers.
