Relieving Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers, Students, and Staff,
As I enter my final week of relieving as Principal, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible privilege it has been to lead our wonderful school. When I first stepped into the role, it was expected to be just three weeks, but it has turned into a rewarding thirteen-week journey that I have enjoyed immensely.
I would have liked to finish the term as Relieving Principal, but I had already arranged leave to travel overseas for a family wedding. While I am looking forward to this special family occasion, I will miss being part of the warm and vibrant Carlingford West community during the remainder of the term.
Thank you to the staff, students, and families for your support, collaboration, and warm welcome throughout my time here. I am proud of all that we have achieved together, and I will cherish the memories I’ve made at Carlingford West Public School.
Warm Regards,
Lee Shipley.
Below is a message to the Carlingford West Public School community from Daniel Hurd, Director Educational Leadership (Carlingford Network)
To the Carlingford West Public School community,
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Mrs Shipley for her outstanding and highly impactful leadership as relieving principal at Carlingford West during Mr Williamson’s period of higher duties.
Mrs Shipley‘s dedication and authentic partnership with the staff, students, and parents have been instrumental in maintaining the quality learning environment and strong community spirit within the school. Mrs Shipley’s commitment to the school has been deeply appreciated, and we wish her all the very best as she begins some pre-planned leave of her own, before returning to Dundas Public next term.
I am also pleased to inform you that Mrs King will step up as relieving principal for the remainder of this term. We are very grateful to Mrs King for stepping up to lead the school during what is undoubtedly going to be a busy time. Her professionalism and commitment will continue to help ensure a successful remainder to the term.
Throughout this entire period, the strength and resilience of the executive team have been remarkable. Their solid support has played a crucial role in sustaining continuity in leadership and school operations during these changes in the senior leadership team. This collective leadership effort has ensured that our students, staff, and families continue to experience a welcoming and supportive environment.
Finally, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the whole school community for their ongoing support and cooperation throughout. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and teamwork during this time. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Mr Williamson back at the start of next term and continuing the excellent work we do together.
Kind regards,
Daniel Hurd

We kindly remind all students to be respectful of neighbours both when travelling to and from school and in their own local communities. This means keeping noise levels down, disposing of litter responsibly, and being considerate of others' property and privacy.
