ADHD Parent Support Group

Following positive feedback from the first ADHD Parent Support Group, Rosanna Golf Links Primary School is pleased to offer the group again in Term 3.

The group is facilitated by Ann Ee Ching, a Provisional Psychologist who previously supported students and families as the school’s counsellor. Ann Ee brings a warm, empathetic, and neuro-affirming approach to her work, with experience in individual counselling, social skills groups, and high school transition support. She has close to 10 years of experience in youth mental health research, with a focus on prevention and prediction. Ann Ee is passionate about working with families navigating ADHD, autism, and other learning needs, with a focus on fostering understanding, strengthening communication, and tailoring environments to suit the unique strengths of each child and their family.

This group provides a supportive space for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD to connect, share experiences, and learn together. It aims to foster a sense of community, helping parents feel less alone in their journey. Guided by evidence-based strategies, the group will explore practical ways to support children at home, focusing on understanding ADHD, building routines that work, improving communication, and creating environments that support each child’s unique strengths and needs. Ultimately, this is a space where parents can feel seen and understood and be equipped to do the same for their child.

Groups are scheduled to begin on Monday, 20 July, in Week 2 of Term 3. They will run weekly for 8 weeks, with the option to extend by 1-2 additional sessions depending on parent needs and interest. Sessions will run for 60 minutes.

Please note that this is a parent-focused group and is not designed for children to attend.
