Principal's Report

Term 4

The 2023 school year is nearing the end and I am sure everyone is really looking forward to a well-earned break. Thank you to the school community for your engagement and continued support as we work together in supporting the education of our students.

It is that time of the year where our students celebrate their learning in 2023 and it has been fantastic to share in all of their successes in the various section events and presentations. On Tuesday we held our Transition Day and students across the school spent the day with their new teacher and class in their 2024 classroom. We also welcomed over twenty new students who all enjoyed their time meeting their new classmates. 2024 is looking to be an exciting year!

Last Thursday was our Year 12 Graduation. It was such a heart warming evening, with each student celebrating the ending of their school journey and sharing their aspirations and dreams for the next chapter in their lives. All students will be engaging in further education or employment next year and we wish them all the very best for the future.

At this time of year, we also celebrate the Year 6 students who celebrated their Graduation last night. This will signify the completion of the students’ Primary years of education and moving to the Secondary section of the school and the new experiences they will encounter as they develop into young adults.

I would like to thank all of the staff at Concord School for your dedication in ensuring our students are ‘the best they can be’. Thanks also to our parents and carers who work so hard to support the students. A very special thank you to our students who continue to inspire us.

We look forward to Wednesday the 31st of January when we welcome back our students for their first day of 2024.

Please note that as we commence the 2024 school year, we will be running an Information Open Morning and our usual Meet the Teacher Evening in the first few weeks of Term 1. Further details will be communicated in the first week of term.
