Principal's Message

Rachel Baker | Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

GRADUATION MASS

Last Friday was a day of celebration, a day of reflection, and a day of looking towards the future for our Year 6 GRADUATES. We gathered together as a school community to mark the end of their primary school journey. We cannot help but feel a sense of pride and joy for the remarkable individuals they have become.

Congratulations, Year 6 graduates of St Aidan’s! You have achieved so much, shared so much and your future is brimming with promise. Always remember the roots from which you've grown, and reach for the stars. From little acorns you are all well on your way to becoming mighty oaks.

Congratulations to the Year 6 students who received awards. A big thank you to the Honourable Michael Daley and the Honourable Matt Thistlethwaite for their ongoing support and for presenting an award to two of our Graduates each year. Thank you to the Honourable Michael Daley for attending the Graduation to present these awards in person.

May God bless all our Year 6 Graduates and their families. I wish you all the best of luck on your incredible journey ahead. And remember…….anything is possible.

END OF YEAR AWARDS

On Monday we gathered together to celebrate the achievements and success of our students at St Aidan’s for 2023. We came together to recognise the hard work, dedication, and talents of our students. It is not just about honouring their academic accomplishments, but also acknowledging the values of kindness, respect, leadership, creativity, and resilience that our students have demonstrated throughout the year. These awards signify that our primary school is not just a place for learning, but a platform for developing well-rounded individuals.

As we presented these awards the students were reminded that they are all special and unique. It is not about being better than others; it is about being the best version of themselves. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our award recipients.

Students who did not receive an award were reminded that success is a journey, not a destination. Each day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. Your time will come, and we believe in your potential just as much as we do in our award recipients.

THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

It has been another amazing year at St Aidan’s with excellent learning growth, achievement of individual student goals and so many memorable events. I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers and staff who were extremely dedicated to guiding, teaching, and nurturing our students this year.

I would like to thank the parents and guardians for their continued support and tireless efforts. Working in partnership with our parents is so important to us here at St Aidan's.

I continue to thank God each day for placing me at St Aidan’s as it is a very unique and special place where I feel extremely privileged to be. Let us all end this year with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that the future is bright, and it is in the capable hands of our young learners.
