Year 10 to 12

The Final Assembly and Celebration Day for our Year 12 students was held on Friday 17 November.

The assembly was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the efforts, achievements, and talents of our Year 12 cohort. We were pleased to welcome such a large number of parents and siblings to join in the celebration. Year 12 students were individually announced and shared a current photo as well as a childhood photo with the audience – this produced some laughter as we saw how much (or how little) some people have changed! Each student was presented with a photo memory of their year level. Various achievement and service awards were also presented. Students were treated to an inspiring speech by one of our EDSC Alumni, Ben McManamny.

Ben was a popular and humorous student during his time at EDSC and his sense of humour shone through in his speech. Ben reflected on his journey at EDSC, how he embraced different opportunities as they arose and how this led to his true passions in life.

Ben encouraged our students to continue to be curious, to value every moment and to enjoy their journey. A worthy message to our departing cohort!

Following the assembly, Year 12 students had an enjoyable lunch in the upper courtyard, changed into their 'modified uniforms' and got them signed and then donned white t-shirts for the much-anticipated Colour Run. Let’s just say, the before and after photos told the story of the Colour Run! The day ended with much laughter and fun, as students (and some teachers!) ended up looking very colourful! A wonderful way to end the celebrations. Finally it was down to  Mr Basford to dismiss our 2023 cohort for the last ever time.

Now comes the wait for the release of results on 11 December and the planning of the next great adventure for our students!

Hot food is not suitable to be left at the office.  PLEASE NOTE:- Take-away food is not allowed during school hours.

Under no circumstances are students to be ordering take-away food to be delivered to the College.

Student Compass ID/Library/PTV  Cards

Please remind all students that they must carry their Student Compass ID/Library/PTV  Cards with them at all times.

ALL students must sign in and out with their card at The John Landy Centre (Senior School Building)when they are arriving late or leaving early for any reason.

The cards are also used for any student photocopying that is done at school. The EDSC Student Compass ID/Library card can be used as ID for student PTV (Public Transport Victoria) travel. They are required to carry this card as student identification while travelling on public transport.

If a student loses their card, parents/guardians are able to re-order a replacement card via the Compass parent portal.
